Waltear Concepts

New character in the works. Since the Emperor is basically done other then the final art for him, it is time to rejoice in a new character. Stage one is always sketching. I mostly focus on hair and giving poses and what not. This is really the time to try to get a feel for the character and his actions. I try to not focus too hard on anatomy during this phase as I feel it ruins the feeling I am trying to portray. I love flirty characters and I love giving little sayings to my characters just to further the feeling for them. If at the beginning of Phase 2, I don't understand or have a decent feeling for the character I will do more.

Emperor-Selatria

Getting closer to completion. Just need the basic idea for the sprite. Doing sprite now then going back and adding the touches. Model 2 is what will be used.

Emperor concepts for Selatria. The indie game I am on. There will be a video of me working on these. What was my thought process for design? Well, I tried to stick to Imperial/Roman ish styles. I dont know if I succeeded or not, but armor is one of my many weak points. I'm sorry if there are things missing or somethings look stupid, but I have been working basically non stop since yesterday on this. Going to bed very late. I had to do 4 separate recordings, because the camera recording system was on the wrong drive so I can running out of memory. ~_~  Top left corner is initial sketch. Quite a difference. Also a little sketch of the character wearing his mask.

Video is up and running. Watch me concept http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNy4vbBS08U

First Camera Recording

Hello All!

I have done my first camera recording of a painting ever. I wasn't initially going to show everyone but I decided to anyways. Hopefully I can make more. It was really fun to make and I enjoy seeing the process. I start it out with something simple.

Desert Wolf

I originally started this as a drawing to the song Desert Wolf by Clean Tears. First REAL painting with Paint Tool SAI. Its fun to paint with, but I wonder how its viewed among my peers. I tried to do something not super anime in it since that is what it is usually used for.  It was supposed to be something small so I can get used to Easy Paint Tool SAI, but I really REALLY had fun painting. I love how the colors will blend together if you are painting. It is really nice! I'm testing to see what I can do in this program. I like how simple it is so far, but there are shortcuts I don't know yet. I am hoping I can learn them...those are important. I see some errors that I want to fix so I will return tomorrow to make those adjustments. Mostly in the cloak.
